Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use Medicaid from another state at your facility?
No. Only Maryland Medicaid covers residents who qualify for long term care while in a Maryland facility.
Can I go out on visits with my family?
Yes! With advanced notice and physician approval, you may visit with family and friends outside of the Facility. Contact the Nursing Department for more information. We also encourage residents to participate in Facility group outings and events.
Can I bring my meds from home?
Moran Nursing and Rehabilitation offers pharmacy services to our patients/residents. Requests to bring medications from home are addressed on a case by case basis.
Do you provide toiletries?
Yes. We provide all the personal care items you will need for your stay.
Can my family bring me snacks?
Yes, if you are not on a restricted diet.
Do you help with applications and other paper work?
Yes, our Business Office, Social Work Department and Admissions Staff is always available to answer questions and assist you with whatever your needs may be.
Will my loved one with Dementia be safe from wandering away?
Yes, all of our elevators and access doors have a coded keypad.
Does the resident's family have to do the residents laundry?
Moran Nursing and Rehabilitation offers complete laundry services, but you may launder your loved-one's clothing at home if you wish.
When do I get to go home?
You will be discharged as soon as your physician and therapists determine that you have met your goals, no longer need skilled care or are medically ready and able.
How do I get to my Doctor appointments?
We provide transportation in our facility van. However, families are allowed to transport their loved ones to their medical appointments if the resident is able to tolerate the trip.
